All rental promises will be conditional upon the landlord's ability to conduct a credit check, verify with the TAL (formerly known as the Régie du logement du Québec), obtain references from previous landlords and/or financial institutions, and receive proof of employment and income. All of the above must be to the full satisfaction of the landlord and at the tenant's expense.
The tenant must obtain, at their own expense, liability insurance of at least $2 million. Proof must be submitted at the same time as the lease signing. Only cats are permitted. Airbnb rentals and subletting are not allowed. The building and the apartment are strictly non-smoking, including electronic cigarettes, as well as the consumption and cultivation of cannabis, even with a medical certificate.
